Emma Watson turned 25 today, and besides all of her acting accolades, multimillion pound fortune and feminist heroics, that means a lot of years of incredible fashion moments.
Every time Emma steps out onto the red carpet she’s the epitome of elegance and grace (usually in monochrome).
Here’s why our home-grown Harry Potter star is a style icon of our generation.
1. While everyone else is in gowns, Emma knows less is more in tailored trousers.
2. She knows that a classic white shirt can be uber-chic.
3. And an LBD is never the wrong choice.
4. She’s not afraid to be fashion forward.
5. She made dresses over trousers cool again.
6. See, here she is again.
7. She does slouchy tailoring so well.
8. And when she does do a red carpet gown, she stands out beautifully.
9. She knows different textures can work together.
10. She doesn’t need to show an inch of skin to look ultra-feminine.
11. But when she does she looks faultless.
12. Emma knows monochrome works for her.
13. But when she does play around with colour she doesn’t do things by halves
14. She can do ‘side boob’ while still looking classy.
15. She knows sexy doesn’t have to mean figure hugging.
16. She keeps her make-up to a minimum to show off a great dress.
17. She’s all about clean, polished lines.
18. She knows how to let the dress do the talking by keeping everything else simple.
19. She can rock feathers.
20. She knows all some outfits need is a red lip.
21. She’s not afraid to experiment with fashion.
22. She can do quirky.
23. And hippy.
24. Sometimes she actually looks like a real life princess.
25. And occasionally she knows how to surprise just about everyone.
