Caroline Flack is reportedly in talks to host both The X Factor and Love Island.
The TV presenter – who has just been announced as the host of ITV2′s revamped dating show – was tipped as the favourite to take over from Dermot O’Leary on X Factor.
But a source told RadioTimes.com: “Caroline is in talks about making the two shows work around each other. She won’t be filming on Love Island every day, which will free her up to do other things.”
Caroline previously hosted X Factor spin-off show The Xtra Factor on ITV2 with Olly Murs.
The reality dating show Love Island – which saw single celebrities cast away on a romantic island in Fiji together in the hope some of them would find romance – ran for two series in 2005 and 2006.
It is now being brought back to ITV2 with Caroline on hand to uncover all the gossip.
She said: “I was a massive fan of the original show, and I’m sure this is going to be one crazy love fuelled island. I can’t really think of a better way to spend a summer – here’s hoping it’s a scorcher!”
The first series saw TV presenter Jayne Middlemiss and nightclub owner Fran Cosgrave named the winning couple, while series two paired up footballer offspring Bianca Gascoigne with Calum Best.
