Keanu Reeves has revealed he would like to reprise his Constantine role for a sequel.

The Matrix star portrayed demon hunter John Constantine in Francis Lawrence’s 2005 action-horror, which also starred Rachel Weisz, Shia LaBeouf and Tilda Swinton.

“John Constantine, for sure,” he said when asked which role he would like to reprise.

“I just love that guy. I like his weird anger, but [also] wanting the world to be better, and fairer, and less sh***y.”

Keanu next stars as a former hitman, who has to return to being a killing machine following the death of his wife and his dog, in John Wick.

“John’s described as, not the boogie man but the guy you’d send in to kill the boogie man, which I thought was fun,” he said.

“He’s not a psychopath. He isn’t out there killing innocent people. Everyone he kills in the film is trying to kill him.

“We come to learn he’d walked away from that life for love, but then she dies and gives him this gift of a dog because he needs someone, or something, to love,” he continued. “That dog eventually gets killed, and people steal my car and invade my house and this dark side comes back.”

John Wick is in cinemas now.
