Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has promised viewers some “wonderful bad acts” in this year’s series.

The star, who sits on the judging panel with David Walliams, Amanda Holden and show supremo Simon Cowell, said the foursome were like a “dysfunctional family” with her as a “strict older sister”, as she attended the launch of the ninth series at the Mayfair Hotel in London.

She said: “It’s the best show to work on, we really do laugh from start to finish.”

Alesha, who also did a stint as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, said there would be plenty of “eccentric” acts appearing in the series.

She said: “We like to see the crazy people, that’s what makes the show. The auditions were great, we saw some great acts and some wonderful bad acts as you’d expect from Britain’s Got Talent.”

Both Alesha and Amanda looked all white at the launch.

Simon has already admitted he fears he has let David spiral out of control on the show.

The pair have a long-running jokey partnership as judges on the ITV talent show.

David was not attending today’s Britain’s Got Talent launch as he is reportedly away on holiday with his family.

Britain’s Got Talent returns on Saturday (April 11) at 8pm on ITV.
