That’s our hopes of seeing Charlene Mitchell/Robinson on screen completely dashed.
Pint-size singer Kylie Minogue has said she won’t be reprising her role as the Neighbours’ favourite any time soon.
Kylie appears as a guest on ITV’s The Jonathan Ross Show, and when asked if she’d ever reprise the role, says: “I just like to say never say never about anything in life. But I don’t think it would have done Charlene any favours to come back now.”
“You know what I mean – she exists there and she’s so strong and loved in people’s memories and for me as well, I don’t think I’d have done her any justice.”
She did however, speculate as to where Charlene would be today saying: “I don’t know. I’d like to think that she was so gutsy as a youngster and breaking the rules and being a tomboy. It would be cool if she had a few garages around Queensland. She was a little tycoon in the motoring world, that would be cool.”
The Jonathan Ross Show airs on ITV on Saturday, April 4 at 9.35pm
