The new music streaming service Tidal has not even been active for a week yet its faced a barrage of criticism from the public.

Jay Z and his dream team of 16 other chart-topping artists vowed to re-establish the value of music with the high-definition service and create a haven for artists and fans to preserve the music industry.

While most famous faces in the industry welcomed the hip hop mogul’s revamped service with open arms, one artist has not taken the news lightly, turning to Twitter to vent about the venture…

Following her online outburst, Lily Allen received a stream of criticism suggesting she was jealous to have been overlooked for the project but the singer wanted to make it clear to the world that was not the case…

Lily launched her tirade following the launch of the new service earlier this week believing, despite her admiration for the stars involved, charging fans double the subscription price of Spotify for Tidal will only resort to a rise in illegal downloading.

The singer went on to question exactly who would make money out of the venture – suggesting the majority of artists would lose out.

Lily also added that while the high-definition audio experience was a good touch, the novelty is rather useless with out the high-tech headphones needed to appreciate it.
