Russell Howard is set to host his first ever stand-up TV show.
The comedian will launch Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central on Comedy Central next month.
It will see Russell perform some of his own routines, as well as welcoming other comedy guests to take a turn on the stage in front of a live audience.
Guests already lined up include Rob Delaney, Doc Brown, Roisin Conaty, Katherine Ryan, Carl Donnelly, Nick Helm, Alex Horne, Andrew Maxwell, Sara Pascoe and Joe Wilkinson.
Russell, who also fronts Russell Howard’s Good News in front of a live audience, said: “I’m really looking forward to hosting the show. We’ve got loads of great new comics on and it’s also quite close to my house.”
Jill Offman, managing director at Comedy Central UK, added: “Ever since I saw Russell Howard’s live stand up show five years ago, it has been my dream to get him on Comedy Central. The whole team loves his work and he has massive appeal with our audience.”
Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central will have 10 episodes and begins on Comedy Central on April 29 at 9pm.
