Hollyoaks still holds plenty of drama for Maxine Minniver, as she is about to start a romance with Darren Osborne just as her custody battle with ex Patrick Blake kicks off.
The young mum is set to fight abusive Patrick in court over their daughter Minnie, but things could get even nastier between them when he sees her kissing Darren.
Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) has gone to visit Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) at the garage after getting a court date through the post which has upset her.
The pair share their first kiss, but they don’t realise that Patrick (Jeremy Sheffield) is sitting in his car looking on – and he doesn’t look too happy about the budding romance.
Nikki recently warned Digital Spy: “Patrick has got a hold over Maxine still because of Minnie. He doesn’t like the fact that Maxine’s left, because Patrick is all about having control and he doesn’t have control of Maxine any more.
“So he’s going to use any way he possibly can to manipulate and control her from afar.”
