Robin Thicke and Paula Patton are another step closer to divorce.
The Precious and 2 Guns actress was granted a divorce from the Blurred Lines singer on Tuesday (March 17), in Los Angeles.
But their legal split will not take effect until April 14.
The 39-year-old actress and 38-year-old singer announced they were separating last year after nine years of marriage.
The ex-couple – who were childhood sweethearts – have a four-year-old son together.
Robin previously insisted cheating rumours had nothing to do with his split from his wife – but admitted he became greedy, selfish and big-headed.
He told New York’s Hot 97 radio station his ex was his “rock” and said of the split: “There’s a 100 different reasons, there isn’t just one. There’s a long list… I changed, and I got a little too selfish, a little too greedy, a little too full of myself.”
Paula was the inspiration behind much of Robin’s music and appeared in some of his videos.
The singer promoted his latest album, Paula, last summer with several public appearances accompanied by reconciliation pleas.
But the album sold only around 24,000 units in the US when it was released in July. His previous album, Blurred Lines, sold 177,000 units when it debuted.
