Liza Minnelli has checked herself into rehab.
The star, 69, is believed to be in a facility in Malibu, California, and her representative said that she is doing well.
Spokesman Scott Gorenstein said: “Minnelli has valiantly battled substance abuse over the years and whenever she has needed to seek treatment she has done so.
“She is currently making excellent progress at an undisclosed facility.”
The four-times married actress – the daughter of Wizard Of Oz star Judy Garland – has battled alcohol and drug addiction over the years.
She is one of the few artists to win an Oscar, a Tony, an Emmy and a Grammy.
According to reports, the Cabaret star’s last stint in rehab was more than a decade ago, in 2004.
Speaking about her alcoholism in 2008, she said: “My whole life, this disease has been rampant. I inherited it, and it has been horrendous, but I have always asked for help.”
The star has suffered several health problems over the years, including inflammation of the brain in 2000 caused by an infected mosquito bite.
In September, she underwent back surgery to help heal an injury that prevented her from performing most of the year or attending Joan Rivers’ funeral.
