Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse are to bring some of their favourite TV characters to life with a live tour.

The comic duo are planning to embark on a Legends tour around the country, which would feature some of their most-loved screen personas such as Loadsamoney, the “Suits you, Sir!” tailors from The Fast Show and the surgeons from their BBC sketch show, Harry And Paul.

“We have never done it since 1988 and all the stuff we have done on telly has never been done live,” Paul told RadioTimes.com.

“Before we die, or before another comedian puts a contract out on us we thought we’d do a live show. Hopefully in the autumn. Mainly in Iceland but we thought we’d do a couple of UK dates.”

The TV stars are writing a special for the BBC, celebrating the 25th anniversary of when they arrived on the TV comedy scene with Harry Enfield And Chums in 1990.

The programme will air later this year and Paul promised it will be a “twisted Audience With…” style show, which will feature him and Harry portraying a range of guests including Margaret Thatcher and Wolf Hall actor Mark Rylance.

The screen special follows last year’s Harry And Paul’s Story Of The 2s, an hour-long “tribute” to BBC Two’s most iconic programmes and personalities.
