Finally, the 2015 Brit Awards are here, and we’re gearing up to celebrate the very best in British music. The A-list channelled their inner rock ‘n’ roll rebels in all-black outfits for the occasion.
Brit Award hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (yes, they do actually have surnames) showed up wearing matching three-piece suits and cheeky grins.
Queen of Everything Taylor Swift looked ah-may-zing in this vampy black number with red lace detailing. Tay-Tay even opened the show in a black jacket ensemble as she performed Blank Space.
Here’s British Male Solo Artist, British Single, British Video and Mastercard British Album nominee Ed Sheeran looking all dapper in a three-piece suit and tie. Not very rock’n'roll, Ed, but we’re sure he’ll redeem himself when he performs later on this evening.
Critics’ Choice Award winner and all round hot dude James Bay turned up in his standard uniform of a leather jacket, skinny jeans and desert boots. Does anyone know what’s actually under James Bay’s hat? Does his skull exist from his ears upwards? Answers on a postcard, please. We need to know.
British Breakthrough Act nominee FKA Twigs continues her reign as Queen of Cool in this cut-out dress and flares.
Cara Delevingne appears to have pinched her skirt, skinnies and fedora straight from James Bay’s wardrobe. Who wore it better? And, more importantly: Whose hair is glossier?
Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton (A.K.A. Mel C and Baby Spice, if you lived under a rock during the 90s) arrived with a smile in coordinating black ensembles. We LOVE Emma B’s blouse, jacket and tailored trouser combo but we do kind of miss them in platform heels, sports bras and pastel pink. Oh, nostalgia.
Holly Willoughby is kind of channelling her inner rock rebel in this amazing embellished lacy black number.
Nick Grimshaw looks like he’s been taking style hips from his best mate Harry Styles in this polkadot shirt, leather jacket and skinny jeans.
Who invited Barbie and Ken? Oh no wait, that’t just the sickeningly attractive Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright. Both opted for black outfits to detract attention from the fact that neither of them know who Alt-J are.
We’ve got major dress envy over Charli XCX’s backless halterneck dress with generous helpings of side-boob. So 90s. So goddamn cool.
We’re not really sure why Calvin Harris is staring so intensely at the camera. Maybe he’s trying to bore into your soul with his piercing blue eyes. Or maybe he just feels a bit uncomfortable when he’s outside of the DJ booth.
Somebody call 999 because Daisy Lowe is on FIRE tonight. We’ve fallen in love with that strapless velvet gown, glossy brown barnet, sassy red lip and cheeky flash of leg. Well played, Daisy.
We’re pretty bloomin’ happy (sorry, awful pun) to see Orlando Bloom looking all kinds of sexy on he red carpet. Double denim is difficult to pull off but somehow Orlando makes his matching shirt and jeans work.
Here’s Jessie Ware looking all kinds of chic in a plunging maroon and black number with a little black clutch bag. Bonus points for that perfectly dishevelled hairdo and statement red lipstick. Bravo.
Sexy bed head hair? Check. Sultry smoky eye? Check. Seductive body-hugging black dress? Check. Cool gold body chain? Check. Ella Henderson hits the cool rock chick nail on the head.
Nick Jonas appears to have dropped by on his way to prom. How adorable.
Janelle Monae really stole the show in this snazzy suit and oversized hat. Lots of big black hats this evening. Let’s hope nobody loses their headwear in a bout of enthusiastic dancing.
