Bryan Singer has given fans a sneak peek into how Oscar Isaac will transform into Apocalypse in the next X-Men film.

The filmmaker, who will direct the third and final instalment in the new trilogy of the Marvel superhero franchise, shared some production concept art from the movie. It was done by Grant Major, who formerly worked on The Lord Of The Rings.

The caption alongside the image read: “Some production art. #XmenApocalypse #GrantMajor I was a little busy but will continue to snap more.”

Production on X-Men: Apocalypse, which also stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, is expected to begin in April.

Oscar, who will also appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, hinted that his portrayal of Apocalypse may be different to what fans are used to from the comics.

“Just as Bryan’s done with the other films, I think he seeks to find something a little more interesting than the archetypal aspects of the characters, which work really well in print, but for a film I think you want to see a bit more of the, for lack of a better word, humanity in [Apocalypse]; because ultimately this is a story about humans,” he told IGN.com.
