Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly visiting Rome this month for a special audience with the Pope.
Us Weekly magazine broke the news that Brangelina – who consider themselves to be non-religious – will attend a “VIP meet-and-greet at the Vatican with Pope Francis”.
A source claimed Brad and Angelina admire Pope Francis, who has won popularity around the world for his very liberal views on homosexuality, pre-marital sex and divorce.
It is thought Angelina will be meeting the leader of the Roman Catholic church in her capacity as a UN Special Envoy.
A spokeswoman for the UN told the Daily Mirror: “I am not in a position to provide any information about this at this point.”
A spokeswoman for The Vatican said: “We only give information about the public audiences of the Holy Father. If the audience is private there’s nothing from us.”
Brad was raised a Baptist but told the Hollywood Reporter in 2012: “I don’t have a great relationship with religion. I oscillate between agnosticism and atheism.”
