Bill Turnbull’s quiz show, Think Tank, will be returning for a second series.

The BBC One show will be back later this year with the former BBC breakfast host as its presenter.

The new series will consist of 30 episodes, which is up from the 20 featured in the first series.

Bill said: “I’m very happy to be going back to the studio for another series of Think Tank. We had a lot of fun first time round, and I’m sure the next series will be even better.”

Commissioning editor, Jo Street, said: “Bill and his highly entertaining colleagues in the Think Tank kept our audiences entertained in the afternoon and we are very pleased to bring the team back together from all across the UK to help even more contestants in the next series.”

The quiz show sees a group of regular contributors from across the nation answering general knowledge questions.

Their answers aim to help contestants through a series of questions, with the aim of gettting to the final round to tackle the ‘Question: Impossible’ – the question the Think Tank hasn’t been able to answer.

He also recently returned to his radio roots to host two new programmes on Classic FM.

He announced he was swapping his weekday early mornings on breakfast television for a more relaxing 10am to 1pm radio slot on Saturdays and Sundays.

In February this year he stepped down from the BBC Breakfast sofa after 15 years on the show to spend more time with his family – and his bees.
