Rebel Wilson stepped up to present the best supporting actor award at the Baftas and absolutely killed it.

Presenting the award to Mark Rylance for his role as a Russian spy in Bridge Of Spies, the Australian actress brought some much-needed humour to the start of the show.

The comic actress dead-panned: “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It’s so great to be here at this really serious event.

“I have never been invited to the Oscars because as you know they are racist. But the Baftas have diverse members, and that’s what we all want to see in life, isn’t it? Diverse members.

“One day I hope to return here to win a Bafta myself. I have already been practising my transgendered face.”

To nominee Idris Elba, who was laughing in the audience, she said: “Sorry, Idris Elba, but you’re making me nervous. I’m just sociologically programmed to want chocolate on Valentine’s Day.”

Twitter couldn’t get enough.
