If one of your dreams is to pedal off into the sunset with an ageing Irish rockstar, it could be your lucky day.
OK, that might not be a dream shared by many, but it’s for a good cause.
U2 frontman Bono is offering the chance to go on a bike ride with him to raise money to help combat Aids.
The indefatigable philanthropist will jump back on the saddle a year after seriously injuring himself in a bike accident.
In order to join Bono for what could well be an afternoon of painfully revisiting past traumas, all you have to do is enter a draw and donate at least 10 US dollars (£6.6) to his organisation RED.
But the singer insists it will be a fun experience, even after the fall in New York’s Central Park left him needing surgery.
“I’m not sure that was as funny to my band as it was to me,” Bono said in an interview with The Associated Press. “But I think we’re going to have fun and yeah, we’ll go visit the scene of the crime.”
His campaign coincides with World Aids Day and also offers donors the chance to spend time with George Clooney and walk the red carpet with Meryl Streep.
