Mark Gatiss may be known for his fantasy storytelling and roles in The League of Gentlemen, Game of Thrones and Sherlock.

But things turned quite interesting for the actor when he did some digging into his past on BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? – and found a ‘supernatural’ connection.

The actor was keen to learn more about his Irish roots on his mother’s side.
