EastEnders landlord Mick Carter can be seen struggling to pick up the pieces after wife Linda’s departure in newly-released pictures from the soap.
The Carter family had a traumatic Christmas Day when it was revealed that Mick’s (Danny Dyer) now-pregnant partner Linda (Kellie Bright) had been raped by Dean Wicks (Matt DiAngelo), who Mick believed was his nephew.
But Mick was also stunned by the revelation that Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) is his mum, not his sister – making Dean his brother.
Linda fled the Queen Vic, which Mick then smashed up in a rage, but new pictures show him sitting among the debris as he wonders where his wife has gone and how to get her home.
Stan Carter (Timothy West), who Mick had believed was his dad until Christmas, is also seen giving some advice on what to do next.
However, Stan has had just as much of a shock as Mick, who he had always thought was his son, and goes to confront his ex Sylvie (Linda Marlowe) over how she could lead him to believe Mick was his – but is shocked when she brands him a monster.
The scenes are due to air tonight (December 29) on BBC One at 8pm.
