The Interview – the Seth Rogen film about a fictional plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un – has been given a limited release by Sony.
To thank fans for turning up to Christmas Day screenings, Rogen and director Evan Goldberg made a surprise appearance at one cinema in Los Angeles.
Hundreds of US cinemas made special Christmas Day arrangements for the comedy, after Sony Pictures had initially called off the release when major cinema chains dropped the movie in the wake of the high-profile hack that hit the company.
With US president Barack Obama among those criticising the decision, Sony bosses eventually changed their minds
