Sir Tom Jones has revealed he would like to record a duets album with Paloma Faith.
The duo, who got to perform together on the track God Only Knows at the BBC’s inaugural Music Awards, are both up for a full-length collaboration, like Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga with their album, Cheek To Cheek.
“We might. I’d like to,” said Tom, to which the Only Love Can Hurt Like This singer added: “Who knows? I would too.”
Paloma, who has duetted with Sir Elton John, Plan B, Jools Holland and Basement Jaxx, said the Welsh crooner is a calming presence on stage.
“Tom’s an amazing person to be on stage with. He softens me!” the 33-year-old singer said.
“I feel very relaxed. I think we speak a similar musical language and that’s why it feels very easy. Sometimes when you collaborate with people, it can clash or it feels like you come from different worlds, but I feel like Tom and I speak the same language.”
