Michael Buerk seems to think Kendra Wilkinson is acting up for the cameras in the I’m a Celeb jungle.

In a conversation with Vicki Michelle, the newsreader said there was a “contrivance” about Kendra, and that her explosive argument with Edwina earlier in the week was “all for the cameras”.

When Kendra came back from a bushtucker trial with six stars, Vicki said: “Kendra’s funny, isn’t she? She does some things and goes and gets a 10 and then practically the same things that she’s done and can’t do it.”

And Michael replied with: “Yeah, but it’s all that contrivance, isn’t it? I think she’s doing a reality TV gig. When she thinks it’s appropriate she’ll … like her go at Edwina was all for the cameras.”

He went on to say “Kendra has been in this reality TV game a long time, she’s got her own show, she knows how to make things look good and what’s entertaining.”

Kendra and Edwina seemed to have sorted out their differences though, as they undertook the “pipe of peril” trial together as a team.

Hugh Hefner’s ex had to answer questions about animals at the risk of falling into something disgusting. The time she earned getting questions right gave Edwina time to get stars out of boxes full of meal worms, lizards, green ants, eels, mud crabs, and snakes.

On Monday Kendra had branded Edwina “heartless” after she was left in tears during a row in the camp. Edwina even said she had been expecting to be chosen and it was a “relief” to be finally doing a trial.

Edwina said: “To be doing it with Kendra means we have to co-operate so we both have strengths and we both have weaknesses so we’ll have to see how we work as a team.”

Kendra told her she had put their row behind her, saying: “We’re moving forward and we’re going to work together. I feel stronger. I’ll try not to get on your nerves.”

The former MP was remarkably calm in the face of snakes. Which is good really, because the public have voted for her to do the next bushtucker trial.

Meanwhile Nadia, Vicky, Michael and Jimmy faced electric shocks and hundreds of flies in a second task.
