Explore Lancaster and Morecambe on two wheels

Summer is here and a cycling bonanza is to get underway so locals can experience the best the area has to offer.

And getting about on two wheels to see great scenery, countryside and heritage has been made easier with special cycling tours.

Lancashire County Council has teamed up with experienced cycle ride leaders to launch a series of tours ranging from a few miles for the inexperienced, to far longer days covering up to 50 miles.

Road riders, mountain bikers and families are all catered for on rides that take in the dales of our great county as well as more urban areas such as Lancaster and Preston. There are cycle specials, which include a cycle into railway history or see the Blackpool Illuminations before they are opened to traffic.
