A VILLAGE amateur dramatic society is to stage the world premiere of a work by a local playwright this weekend.
John Peel's play Starting All Over' is a bittersweet story of relationships and how things can have unforeseen consequences when people interfere in the lives of others.
Burton Amateur Dramatic Society will put on perform-ances in Burton Memorial Hall on Saturday and Sunday, with curtain up at 7.30pm on both nights.
A third performance will be staged at Kirkby Lonsdale Institute on Friday, May 23, in aid of the North West Cancer Research Fund.
The cast of Starting All Over' is Paula Firth, Alison Flanders, Felicity Holloway, Paul Rossi, Doreen Steele, and Alyson Yates.
The play is also the final production undertaken by stalwart Alison Murphy, who is hanging up her producer's hat and retiring after many years of treading the boards.
