WANNABE rock stars from Lancaster are being offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to grab a place on the main stage at this summer's iconic Isle of Wight Festival.
A special Battle of the Bands' is being promoted, with a place on stage alongside The Sex Pistols, The Police and Ian Brown as the prize.
Sponsors BT are looking for ambitious bands to play in a regional knockout round before an event at the top of the BT Tower on May 31, where the best act will secure the main stage slot.
The competition will be judged by an expert panel including Isle of Wight organiser John Giddings.
To enter, bands, solo artists and DJs simply have to upload a track at www.bt.com/isleofwight, with a biography and photograph.
