TWO comedians will be teaming up on stage on Bolton on February 17 to make an improvised double act.

Sean Collins and Mike Gunn will perform solo sets as part their show, Still On The Roadshow, but at the end they will go head-to-head — with the audience deciding who is the funniest.

Canadian Sean says he has always been influenced by British comedy, and particularly by our double acts.

“In Canada, we got The Two Ronnies a lot,” he says.

“We got Fawlty Towers, The Benny Hill show and Michael Crawford’s show where he got thrown around a lot.

"I tended to gravitate towards the British stuff. I think that’s probably why I moved over here!”

The pair met after appearing on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

Over the past decade, Gunn has built up a reputation for walking close to the line of acceptable humour while still remaining likeable, while Collins has had rave reviews for his three successful Edinburgh shows.

“When we met we both respected each other’s humour,” Collins said.

“I don’t think there are very many double acts around nowadays, so hopefully the audience will enjoy seeing us team up.”

l Mike Gunn and Sean Collins’ Still On The Roadshow is at the Albert Halls on Thursday, February 17. Tickets cost £15 or £12 for concessions, 01204 334400.
