CROWS, penguins and evil queens are but a few of the lively characters in this unique production of The Snow Queen.

With Christmas around the corner this is a great family play to get everyone into the festive spirit.

From songs, to dancing, rides through dark forests and trips to the North Pole – the play crams in multiple scenes, which not only had children in the audience laughing but also the adults.

The play is surprisingly experimental, intertwining stage props with projections and characters and playfully employing stage technology to add to the overall entertainment of the play.

The props and the characters’ bright clothing create interesting visual images, which really bring the Christmas classic to life.

The Evil Queen (Joanna Croll) has a chilling manner in her speech while Grandma (Shelley Atkinson) does an excellent job at adding humour to the plot.

Rachel Drazek, who played Gerda, has an excellent and powerful singing voice, which nearly raised the roof.
